Summer Camps
Building character is a lifetime tradition for all of the Kimball Camp YMCA summer camping programs. It is our goal to help the nearly 1,500 campers we work with each year in both our Day and Resident Camp programs to grow in Spirit, Mind and Body.
Day Camp
The
Day Camp programs have served over 500 youth annually in the Branch and
Hillsdale County
communities. Our two main programs, "Buddy Bear" and "Outback",
provide fun, educational and recreational experiences for campers who are
not yet ready for an overnight experience.
Resident Camp
The
Kimball Camp YMCA resident summer camp programs offer a wide-range of
programs and challenges to choose from. We have programs for
first-time campers to those with experience in the out-of-doors. We
also offer our "Leadership Track", designed to help today's teens to become
tomorrows leaders.
Winter Camps
Come and experience a whole new way to play during the winter months! With educational day programs for schools to residential camps for students, we offer some of the best winter fun around.
This program, open to classes from 1st through 4th grade, is designed to teach students about the history of the Pilgrims: where they came from, why they left and the hardships they faced to create a colony in the New World.
Where did the idea of the Christmas Tree come from? Who were the first people to wrap presents? What is the most popular Christmas Carol in the world? All of these questions and many more are answered in our International Christmas program.
Although it may be snowing, the fun doesn't stop at Kimball Camp YMCA! In rotation format, students play games from the "wild west", make a craft and even go on a hay ride.
Come and celebrate the New Year in a safe, fun environment! With friendly staff, good food and an awesome program, campers can welcome in the New Year in style.
Is winter getting you down? Are you bored because you have nothing to do? Then Kimball Camp has the solution for you! Our Winter Fest weekends are specifically designed to banish those winter blahs!
Education Programs
Outdoor Environmental Education
The Kimball Camp YMCA Nature Center has been building traditions in outdoor learning since 1974 with a special emphasis on respect and responsibility for the natural environment. This program serves over 6000 students each year with day and residential environmental learning programs.
Teambuilding
Kimball Camp YMCA has offered safe
and effective Teambuilding programs for over two decades! Our
carefully structured programs are designed to build strong youth and adults. Trust, teamwork, confidence and
support are all outcomes that a teambuilding experience will bring to a
group of inner-city teens, at-risk students or non-profit and corporate
work teams.
Retreat and Conference Center
Retreats and
Conferences at Kimball Camp YMCA Nature Center offer a unique time for building
tradition of community for each group, whether a church group, non-profit
organization, corporation or special conference event. Annually nearly 3000 individual
participants from churches, non-profit agencies, colleges or universities
and businesses, enjoy spending some very structured time at Kimball Camp
YMCA to
learn, play and build relationships.
