"For The Future Campaign" Off To A Great Start!

In 2006, Kimball Camp YMCA Staff got together to determine the needs of the camp and the opportunities for growth.  From these discussions came the "For The Future Campaign", a fundraising program that is designed to provide opportunities for growth by focusing on two critical needs:  program expansion and facility expansion.  Although the "For The Future Campaign" goals were just confirmed in January of 2007, we have already received financial support that has helped us to accomplish a few of the beginning phases of the project!

To find out more about the "For The Future Campaign" or to make a donation, please see the information on our website by clicking here or by calling Kimball Camp at (517) 283 - 2168.

Archaeological Dig At Kimball Camp YMCA

Are you looking for a way to teach students about history?  The Outdoor Education program at Kimball Camp YMCA has a brand new class that allows students to explore the past in a hands-on, minds-on approach!

Your students will become archaeologists and dig at our site!  With lessons in history, math and teamwork, children will have fun discovering artifacts, ecofacts and other traces from people of the past.  As items are excavated, they are carefully documented and, by the end of the program, the students will be able to tell the story of past settlers and how they lived.

This class has already been used by two school systems and is highly acclaimed.  To book your archaeological dig and to find out about our other Outdoor Education programs, please visit the "Outdoor Environmental Education" page of this site.
