Kimball Camp YMCA
|
Kimball Camp YMCA Nature Center is located on beautiful Long Lake just outside of Reading, Michigan. With 65 acres of forest, fields, streams, lakefront and an adjoining 38-acre Nature Preserve, Kimball Camp YMCA can easily provide programs and meeting space to suit your every need.
Cabin FacilitiesKimball Camp YMCA Nature Center has eight modern cabins which can sleep 17 adults comfortably. A nearby bathhouse provides restroom and shower facilities for each cluster of four cabins. Groups may also choose to use the double-occupancy Lodge rooms, with public restrooms just across the hall.
In addition, Kimball Camp YMCA offers the "Thunderbird Ridge", a building with two bunkhouse-style wings, complete with their own bathroom and shower facilities. The "Ridge" can sleep up to 24 people in all.
For a more rustic camping experience, groups may choose to use the New Adventurer Shelters. Perched on a hill, these eight shelters sleep four adults each in a "primitive" camping environment. Bathrooms are located nearby in the Main Lodge. Twelve additional shelters are located east of the Nature Center in a wooded area.
For groups looking for a more rustic camping experience, areas are available for tent camping. (Please call for more information and availability.)
Dining Hall FacilitiesMeals are served cafeteria style in our modern Dining Hall. With indoor seating for over 180 and a large deck capable of seating over 150, we can accommodate groups of all sizes.
